Team K-Man Ride, Sat, March 21 @ 9:00am

The Team KMaBikRide for Saturday, March 21, follows the route planned for last Saturday’s rained out ride. Once again, we will endeavor to ride the Estrella, Hog Canyon, Cross Canyons Loop.

The route makes its way to Estrella via Chicago Grade, Geneseo and Union Roads and Route 46. After meandering around the Estrella-Hog Canyon-Cross Canyons area, the route arrives at San Miguel, where those in need of nourishment can get some of the world’s best burritos at Dos Hermanos Restaurant (among other options). If San Luis Obispo County’s Shelter in Place order prevents us from eating on the premises of Dos Hermanos and other restaurants in San Miguel, we can buy food to take out and consume (at an appropriate distance from each other) in San Miguel Park on K Street.

The prescribed return route from San Miguel to Atascadero is by way of River Road.

In its entirety, the official route covers 69.7 miles and includes about 3500 feet of elevation gain. For those with time or other constraints, there are many ways to abbreviate the official route. For those who want a longer ride, there are longer return route options, most notably, via San Marcos and Lake Nacimiento Roads, or San Marcos and Chimney Rock Roads.

Riders will meet at KMan Cycle and Run in Atascadero at 9:00 a.m., in preparation for a ride start at 9:08. If the weather goes against us again and it becomes necessary or appropriate to postpone or cancel the ride, a notice to that effect will be sent out by 8:00 a.m. Saturday.

Team KMan has been encouraging and promoting a healthy and active lifestyle, while having fun, since 2003.  For Information on Team KMan and how to join please visit us at http://www.teamkman.org/
