The Team KMan Bike Ride for Saturday, March 7, is the Pozo Loop, counterclockwise. There will be a stop at the ranger station in Pozo for water and self-supplied refreshments. For those who do more than the minimalist version of the route (which returns directly to Atascadero via Parkhill Road and Highway 58) there will be another refreshment stop in Creston.
The riders will gather at KMan Cycle and Run in Atascadero at 8:30 a.m. and depart at 8:38. Terry Lentz will be serving as the ride manager. If rain necessitates cancelling or postponing the ride, a message to that effect will be sent out by 7:45 on Saturday morning.
Those who do the official route, which returns from Creston to Atascadero by way of Highways 229 and 58, will ride a distance of 69.2 miles, with elevation gain of 3,657 feet. https://ridewithgps.com/routes/29016604.
Those who ride to Creston and return to Atascadero via Creston Road, Cripple Creek and South El Pomar Roads, will end up with 67.9 miles and 3,616 feet of climbing. https://ridewithgps.com/routes/28856564
Those who do the bare bones version of the Pozo Loop (returning directly to Atascadero via Parkhill Road and Highway 58) will cover 55 miles with about 3,024 feet of climbing. https://ridewithgps.com/routes/29016650
