The Team KMan Bike Ride for Saturday, January 18, will follow Louise’s classic “Ride, Ride, Ride” route, tracking Highway 58 for more than 16 miles before looping back around to Creston on La Panza Road.
From Creston the prescribed route back to Atascadero goes by way of Highway 229, Highway 58 and Santa Margarita. That direct route covers 54.9 miles and includes 3020 feet of climbing. A map and turn-by-turn cue sheet can be found at https://ridewithgps.com/routes/29196279.
Participating riders will gather at KMan Cycle and Run in Atascadero beginning at 9:00 a.m. and set out on the ride at 9:08.
There are several ways to lengthen the route, but the prescribed longer option leaves from Creston by way of O’Donovan, then goes up Huer Huero and down Park Hill Road, before returning to Atascadero. The prescribed long route is 66.9 miles, with 3,737 feet of elevation gain. https://ridewithgps.com/routes/29196380.
