Light rain is forecast for the morning. We’ll see if it develops. The ride will be somewhat local, in case we can start, but have to bail due to weather. This is a modified Tour of Atascadero Hills.
The ride for Thursday, January 9, will be a Tour of the Atascadero Hills, and coffee at Joebella’s. Below are the ride details:
Meet at 9:00 a.m. at the Veteran’s Memorial of the Atascadero Lake Park. Ride out Amapoa, turn right on Curbaril and follow it as it turns into Sycamore. Continue on Sycamore to a left turn on Capristrano, right on Via and right on Traffic Way. Follow Traffic Way to ECR, turn right and enter Hwy 101 north to Vineyard. Right on Vineyard, to right on Templeton Road and onto Rocky Canyon. Follow Rocky Canyon to Halcon and onto Viejo Camino. A left turn will take us to Santa Barbara where we turn left and follow this onto Los Palos and Santa Clara, where we turn left. A right on Sandoval will take us to El Camino, where we turn left and then right on Santa Margarita. Follow this to Morningside, where we turn right to Carmel and left on San Antonio. Follow San Antonio to Santa Barbara, where we turn left and proceed onto Atascadero Ave. We will follow this up the hill to San Gabriel, where we turn left. Stay on San Gabriel, crossing Hwy 41, to Santa Lucia, where you will turn left and then right on Santa Ana. Follow Santa Ana to Graves Creek and then left on San Fernando. Up the hill and another left on Balboa, followed by a right on Santa Ana. We will follow Santa Ana as it turns into Santa Cruz, down the hill, and right on Garcia, followed by a left on Del Rio and a right on El Camino Real. Follow to ECR to Joebella’s, for a well deserved coffee break.
