The Team KMan Bike Ride for Saturday, January 19, 2019, will be Louise’s classic “Ride, Ride, Ride” route going out Highway 58 all the way to La Panza, then back around to Creston.
From Creston the short route back to Atascadero goes through Highway 229, 58 and Santa Margarita. That short route covers 54.9 miles and includes 3020 feet of climbing. A map and route details can be found at https://ridewithgps.com/routes/29196279.
There are a lot of ways to lengthen the route, but the prescribed longer option leaves from Creston by way of O’Donovan, then goes up Huer Huero and down Park Hill Road, before returning to Atascadero. The prescribed long route is 66.9 miles, with 3,737 feet of elevation gain. https://ridewithgps.com/routes/29196380.
In Creston there will be a stop and those who want either a snack or lunch can choose from the Creston general store, the Long Branch Saloon and the Loading Chute.
Participating riders will gather at KMan Cycle and Run in Atascadero beginning at 8:30 for an 8:38 departure.
