The ride for Tuesday, October 9, will be the Creston Loop, counterclockwise, with a Rocky Canyon Road return to Cricket’s for refreshments. Here are the details:
We will meet at 8:00 a.m. at the Veteran’s Memorial at Atascadero Lake Park. We will go out to Santa Rosa, turn left and then bear right on Old Santa Rosa. At West Front, we’ll take a right and proceed for a few blocks to San Rafael, where we will turn right and then left onto Colorado. Then it is down the hill, right on San Diego and then left onto Atascadero Avenue. We will take Atascadero Avenue into Santa Barbara to San Antonio, where we will go right to Carmel, right to Morningside. It is then left on Morningside, left again on Santa Margarita Road and right onto El Camino. We will turn left on Highway 58 to Highway 229, where will go left.
In Creston, there will be a short regrouping stop. We will then proceed to Highway 41, where we will turn right, then leftonto Creston Road, which we will follow to South El Pomar. We will take South El Pomar west, down the Chicago Grade, and then turn left on Homestead. At Highway 41 we turn right, then left on Creston-Eureka Road (old 41), leftagain on to Rocky Canyon, right on Halcon, right on Viejo Camino, and right on El Camino to Cricket’s for refreshments.
