The ride for Tuesday, August 28, will be the O’Donovan Road version of the Creston Loop, then back to Bru for refreshments. Here are the particulars:
We will meet at 8:00 a.m. at the Veteran’s Memorial at Atascadero Lake Park. We will go out to Santa Rosa, turn leftand then bear right on Old Santa Rosa. At West Front, we’ll take a right and proceed for a few blocks to San Rafael, where we will turn right and then left onto Colorado. Then it is down the hill, right on San Diego and then left onto Atascadero Avenue. We will take Atascadero Avenue into Santa Barbara to San Antonio, where we will go right to Carmel, right to Morningside. It is then left on Morningside, left again on Santa Margarita Road and right onto El Camino. After a detour through Garden Farms, we will continue on ECR, to a left on Highway 58 to O’Donovan Road, where we will go left.
In Creston, there will be a short regrouping stop. We will then proceed to Highway 41, where we will turn left, then right on Cripple Creek, and a left on El Pomar, which we will follow to South El Pomar, where we will turn left. We will take South El Pomar west over the Chicago Grade, then turn left on Homestead, right on 41. After the bridge, we turn right on Mercedes and go down the hill and make our way to Bru for refreshments.
